The Search: A Guide for Finding Spirituality through Old Testament Scripture was written when D. S. Friedman, after twenty years of research, realized that our people needed to study scripture outside of the liturgy offered to us in most synagogues. The author does not wish to impress biblical scholars, or to immerse its readers in history, but to create a desire for the Word of God. Through commentary on Old Testament scripture, The Search shows us how we can begin to come to the Lord through prayer. God will do the rest.
